Job fairs at The Center and department-wide recruiting have been part of our efforts to raise awareness for the employment entitlements with life-changing impact on the lives of our DSNY community members.
Incorporated in 2022, DSNY Pride was started to organize, build and promote inclusivity at DSNY and to advocate for the rights of her LGBTQIA+ employees.
DSNY Pride borrowed a backroom theatre from a pair of generous drag queens next door to the Stonewall Inn on the day of the NYC Pride March in order to call to order our first meeting, wherein a vote to incorporate was unanimously approved by our members.
